What We Publish
We publish original, first-hand reporting, practical guides and considered opinion pieces about Nepal — written for readers who want more than a listicle. Every piece should teach the reader something they didn’t know, or help them do something they couldn’t do before.
Editorial Guidelines
- Articles must be original and unpublished elsewhere
- Claims and figures should be sourced and verifiable
- Minimum length: 900 words for features, 500 for guides
- Write in clear, direct English; we edit for house style
- Include your byline, a one-line bio and any relevant credentials
Topics We Accept
- Travel reporting, trekking guides and destination features on Nepal
- Business, entrepreneurship and the Nepali economy
- Technology and its effect on daily life and industry in Nepal
- Culture, heritage, food and the arts
- Practical guides — permits, logistics, how-to explainers
Topics We Don’t Accept
- Promotional content for a specific business, product or service
- Paid links or sponsored placements disguised as editorial
- Unverified political or health claims
- Content generated primarily by AI tools
Submission Process
- Send a short pitch (2–3 sentences) or a full draft to editors@infornepal.org
- Our editors review submissions within 5–7 business days
- If accepted, we’ll work with you on edits before publishing
- Published contributors are credited with a byline and short bio
Contributor Expectations
We do not pay for guest contributions at this time. We do offer a public byline, author page and credit on all channels. We expect contributors to respond to editorial feedback and to disclose any conflicts of interest relevant to their piece.
